Back in September, I signed up to do the Gold Coast Walking Tour by Free Tours by Foot. I really enjoyed the tour and actually learned a lot that I didn’t know about the Gold Coast neighborhood. After the tour, I looked again at their website to see what other tours they offered. I noticed that in October they had a Chicago Ghost Tour and I thought oh, this will be great, so I signed myself and a few of my friends up for the tour.

Free Chicago Walking Tour – Ghost Tour

If you love ghost tours and learning about the history of Chicago then this tour is perfect for you. I’m not going to give away any of the stories except for one thing, I will never spend the night at The Congress Hotel! Most of the other stories creeped me out as well and when I got home I just couldn’t help to google a few things to see what else I could find.

I took some photos along the way and each photo I took during the tour represents something very eery, a ghost story, or even multiple deaths that occurred in Chicago. The places you will visit on this ghost tour are some of the most haunted places in the city.

Chicago Ghost Walking Tour

Unfortunately, the Chicago Ghost Tour is only through the end of October, unless they decide to add more dates, so make sure you check. I really enjoy Free Tours by Foot because they are free walking tours and you just tip your tour guide what you think the tour was worth at the end. However, I have found some other great Chicago ghost tours that are mostly year-round that you can do with your friends.

Chicago Haunting Bus and Walking Tour

You can choose either the bus or walking tour through Chicago. The bus tour is $35 and the walking tour is $25 and you can book either one here.

A mixed of ghost and Chicago gangsters stories is what you will hear all about on this three-hour bus tour. Tickets are $35 and you can get them here.

Chicago Ghost Walk

Start at the John Hancock building and learn about hauntings all over the Gold Coast and River North. Cost is $30 per person and you can get your tickets here.

The Devil in the White City tour is high on my bucket list. If you are interested in the Chicago World’s Fair and you have heard of Chicago infamous serial killer H.H. Holmes then you definitely want to check out this tour. Tickets are $35 per person and you can get them here.
