Happy almost 2018 everyone!
It’s Friday here in Chicago. Although, the week between Christmas and New Year’s is tough because with most people on vacation and family visiting is really hard to figure out what day it is and what you should be doing. A quote that I have seen on numerous Instagram’s throughout this week. I’m completely off my schedule, that’s for sure.
Some of our family headed out yesterday and I spent the afternoon taking down the Christmas decorations and cleaning our entire condo. I love that feeling of everything looking nice and clean and organized. Today I feel ready to get back on schedule even though it’s already Friday.
I have been thinking all week about everything I would love to accomplish and all my aspirations for 2018. So, instead of continuing to just think about my goals. I thought today would be a great day to help me get back on my schedule and to take a few hours to write down and really think about my goals and hopes for 2018. I really believe this helps you and your mind to get more organized and focused. I also really believe if you write down your thoughts you have a much better chance of actually achieving those goals.
I’m sure you have heard of a vision board, right? Most vision boards are created by pictures or photos so you can actually see the goals you are trying to achieve. However, you can create a vision board however you would like. I’m creating my vision board with a checklist. If you follow GGC, you know that I use checklists throughout my entire blog using my husband’s website he developed called Checkli.com, sorry! shameless plug 🙂. So, it just makes sense to me that I would create a vision board checklist.
Goals and aspirations for 2018
Some of my goals for 2018 are very personal ones as well as goals for my GGC website, freelance work, and even a special project I started working on about a month ago. I will definitely share a few of my light-hearted and work goals with you and then I also created a vision board checklist template that you can download and save below. You can also edit and personalize my template to make your vision board checklist your own.
Girl’s Guide Chicago
I would love to continue to grow Girl’s Guide Chicago. My goal is for GGC is for my site to be a great resource for us Chicago girls or anyone visiting Chicago. With my guides, I try to create fun experiences and share the best of Chicago. For 2018, along with my guides, I would love to continue to grow my social media, plan a few fun girl’s night events, and create personalized tours so you can really experience Chicago. Also, if there is anything you would like to see on GGC please let me know in the comments below!
Isn’t this on everyone’s vision board? But it’s so true! I literally have a gym in my building that I really need to use more. I starting going in the fall but with the holidays I dropped off and I must get back! I would also like to be more mindful of the food that I eat and to cut down on sugar.
I love to travel. I dream about all the places I want to visit. However, I get anxious about traveling. I really hate to leave our girls, our cat and our dog, who are like our children. They are always in good hands but I worry about leaving them and I think that stops me from having more of a travel bug. Anyone else like that? There’s so much to see and do and with working from home now I have to chance to travel more.
I sometimes focus on what other people are doing way too much. I think that often stops me from thinking that I can achieve certain things. Social media plays mind games on people. I have to remember that people only post what they want you to see. Not everything in life is always that perfect. I need to be more grateful for what I have and what I have accomplished and not let other things cloud my mind and stop me from thinking I can’t do something. When I put my mind and my heart into something things can happen!
Complete my special project
I’m not ready to talk about it yet but I mentioned above about my special and personal project that I started recently working on. With the opportunity to work at home I also have to opportunity to work on this project and my goal is to have it ready to share by my birthday in March, so stay tuned!
