For those of you that follow Girl’s Guide Chicago, you know that I love to write guides so you can have fun and experience the best of Chicago with your girlfriends. For this girl’s guide, I thought it would be fun to get some of my favorite Chicago influencers and bloggers to share with me their favorite places to hang out with their girlfriends in the city.

And so they did! I was so curious to see what they loved to do with their girlfriends throughout the city and I really love how this guide turned out. It’s cool to see that everyone has such a different perspective on what they love to do for fun and I even learned about some new places to try with my girlfriends.

Here’s what they said…

Chi City Fashion (Jena Gambaccini)

My girlfriends and I love to do the architecture tour as it’s just a great way to get on a boat and see the city. I’ve done it so many times, I feel like I could give the tour myself (but I’ll take any chance I can get to be on a boat!) For drinks, we love Moneygun as they play the best music and we usually end up creating our own dance party 🙂 And to chill out I love doing a group pedicure at Cowshed or a sound bath at Anatomy Redefined. Pampered and zen…what more could you need?
Location:

The Architecture Tour (Chicago River at Michigan Ave)
Moneygun (West Loop)
Cowshed (West Loop)
Anatomy Redefined (West Loop)

Craving Chicago (Candyce Pijoos)

Ladies live to brunch on the weekends. My ladies and I are no exception. Brunch is the quintessential way to catch up with your girlfriends over delicious food and cocktails. My favorite place to do so is Nico Osteria. Not only is the service always friendly, but the food is delicious and so well-executed. Add in the bonus of a beautiful space, or a spot on the patio for people-watching, and you could easily indulge over a leisurely 2hr+ brunch here.

Nico Osteria (Gold Coast)

Glitter and Bubbles (Corri McFadden)

I love eating at Greek Islands. Before I married a Greek man I didn’t know anything, the menu can be very intimidating! If you want to have the best meal of your life this is what you order:
Saganaki
Cold Spread Sampler with Pita
Tzatziki
Village Salad
Side of Gyro
Butterfly Lambchops
(and if you’re really nice and bat your eyelashes, ask them to make you an order of handfries topped with feta. If they make them for you, it’s the equivalent of a unicorn sighting! It’s an off the menu item but sometimes the kitchen will make them for you!)

Location:
Greek Islands (Greek Town/West Loop)

Clark and Stone (Ceta Walters)

My favorite restaurants for girls night/mom’s night out are Momatoro and Maple & Ash.

Momatoro:  I love sushi. They have amazing non-traditional rolls and the drinks are amazing. They have a drink called the Monk’s journey that has matcha and it’s delicious. They also have a sashimi order of smoked aji (not ahi) that smells like a campfire. It melts in your mouth. The dining room is gorgeous and if you want to have a drink after dinner,  you can head downstairs to the Izakaya room. It is super cool.

Maple & Ash: The interior designer did an amazing job creating a super sexy atmosphere for a steakhouse. The short ribs, truffled mash potatoes are my favorite. I also love the sundae bar on he dessert menu. During the summer they offer alfresco dining with 40oz rosé wine. It’s the cutest thing ever. Also, I can’t forget the photo booth on the 1st floor. I have lots of pics from that photo booth.

Location:

Monatoro (Fulton Market)
Maple & Ash (Gold Coast)

The Freckled Stylist (Katie Schuppler)

Little Goat is one of my favorite spots to go with the girls for a few reasons! They have amazing food with a separate vegan menu that I can order from, it’s really relaxed, and it’s in my absolute favorite neighborhood in the city… The West Loop! While it’s a diner you can still eat there all day long to get your yummy food fix (which is also perfect for a hangover!) and sip on a Bloody Mary to make the day after a long night with the girls a little bit easier.

Location:

Little Goat (West Loop)

Stilettos and Diaper Bags (Lisa Fergus)

My favorite restaurant in Chicago is Sunda. The sushi there is outstanding, but there really is something for everyone. And you have to promise to try the tiger shrimp tempura, your life will never be the same! The atmosphere there is beautiful, it’s the perfect spot for a girls night (or even a date night). Plus it’s walking distance from pretty much anywhere you want to go next to keep your GNO going.

Sunda (River North)

KatieCassman.com (Katie Cassman)

My favorite thing to do with girlfriends is to enjoy a leisurely meal at the 3 Arts Club. It’s so fun to take in all of the decor and enjoy the rooftop in the summer months.

Location:

3 Arts Club Cafè (Gold Coast)

SimplyBeAgency/Road Jess Traveled (Jessica Zweig)

My favorite thing to do with my girlfriends is chill at the Soho House rooftop pool, sip “frose” (frozen rose) and chill. It’s always a mix of working, chatting and relaxing.  Nothing beats that rooftop in the summer. The best vibes around.

Location:

Soho House Chicago (West Loop)

Diary of a Dirty Blonde/Kirsten DeYoung

One of my favorite spots to go for a girls day is Restoration Hardware! Not only am I obsessed with the decor, but it’s also such a fun spot to hang out! You can walk around with a glass of wine and chat for hours – and take lots of photos obviously 🙂 The cafe inside is also a great place for a snack or lunch and has delicious food!

Location:

Restoration Hardware (Gold Coast)

Make to Celebrate/Katie Baumgartner

My favorite thing to do with my girlfriends is to plan a fun brunch. I love a spot that plays fun upbeat music and currently love The Vig in Old Town. It’s so fun and lively. We recently celebrated one of my girlfriends birthdays there and the theme of our day was Beverly Hills Hotel.

Thank you to all of you for sharing your favorite places with me, this was really fun!
